Coronavirus Pandemic

If your certificate is due to expire during the Crornavirus Pandemic and you are unable to renew it, do not worry, we can help.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and all of the Major Governing Bodies and Authorities recognise that those who require to hold a valid First Aid certificate for their work will not be able to attend a course to renew their qualification during the Coronavirus lockdown.  The guidance is in the following link:

This means that those holding First Aid qualifications that expire during the current lockdown may extend the expiry date until a deadline for renewal of 30th September 2020 on condition that they have ‘taken steps’ to renew their qualification, by booking a place on an appropriate course, which has subsequently been cancelled.

So, what you need to do is book a place on a course advertised on this site.  We will send you confirmation of the booking which serves as evidence that you have ‘taken appropriate steps’ to renew the qualification.

This applies to First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid for Schools, Paediatric First Aid and Outdoor First Aid.

The course you book on will of course be cancelled, and as soon as we have clearance from the government to start courses again, we will transfer you to a course on a date convenient for you.

NOTE: If you are booking on a First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work course we also need you to pay the fees in advance, this demonstrates to HSE that you really have booked a place.

For candidates seconded onto other courses by schools and colleges no advance payment is required
