AED - Automated External Defibrillation Training

In the event of an individual suffering a cardiac arrest the prompt availability and use of a defibrillator is the treatment of choice to offer the casualty the very best chance of survival.  The modern generation of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are simple and safe to use after a short training course.

Lancashire First Aid Training Ltd is able to provide a half day course covering all of the essential training to recognise a cardiac arrest, provide CPR and the skills to operate an AED.

The course leads to the Award of the Ofqual listed Level 2 QCF Certificate - 'Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation'.

This is a stand alone module, so individuals can attend with no previous First Aid Training, or, it can be added onto any other First Aid course, including Emergency First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid.

The European Resuscitation Council guidance recommends that  operators should attend an annual half-day refresher course to keep up to date and maintain competence and confidence.  The valid lifetime of the certificate as a licence to practice is 12 months.

Please contact us to discuss your requirements and obtain a quote for a course on your premises.
